Description
La Zorrina is an iconic and ancient vineyard with slopes of up to 30%, only cultivable thanks to its slate terraces where very unique Albarín Negro and Carrasquín have been grown for more than 80 years. Perhaps it is one of the most picturesque and extreme vineyards of the DOP Cangas. It is a vineyard hidden in a small valley of the Narcea region, with perfect sun exposure in a climate as extreme as Asturias, with cool temperatures and high rainfall. Its cultivation is entirely manual and respectful of the local tradition, with short pruning, organic fertilization, and yields limited to 500 g of grapes per vine. Manual harvest in 15 kg boxes, bunch selection, destemming without crushing. Micro-vinification in 500-liter tanks with spontaneous fermentation. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels followed by nine months of aging and further refinement in bottle. An incomparable wine. The viticulture required to reach such an expression of the terroir is of extraordinary merit, and the craftsmanship applied in the winery makes each bottle a unique piece.
